Why do we change our clocks twice a year?
DST started on March 19, 1918, to reduce evening coal use during WW1 by President Wilson
DST was so unpopular in 1918 and 1919 that Congress repealed the federal observance in 1919 over President Wilson’s veto, leaving DST to individual states and cities. Congress then passed the Uniform Time Act of 1966, which set a single national start and end for DST from the last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October. The states had the option to exempt themselves entirely from DST, but no state can stay on DST the entire year. Currently, Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) and Hawaii stay on STD time all year.
The next major push came during the oil crisis of 1973. DST was started on January 6th, 1974, to October 27, 1975. Currently, the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which took effect in March 2007, has DST start on the first Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.
Does DST save energy?

The Monday after beginning DST, there is a spike of 24% in heart attacks and an increase of 6% in fatal car crashes.
Tony would like to see DST all year, but science and a few other facts recommend it should be Standard Time all year long.
But if we do keep changing the clocks, Tony suggests it should be in the first week of September, possibly the second Sunday of September because of Labor Day, and begin between April 1 – 7th, this would coincide with what is called civil twilight. Look it up and see why I suggest this.

The sun comes up as it should and sets as it should all year round.
It’s that man has chosen to set their clocks at a certain time to suit their own life.
Maybe we should let the rising and setting of the sun be in God’s hands, as He meant it to be.
