Our flag… it is just a piece of material with those three certain
colors.
It was designed for everyone, even our brothers.
It is not expensive, sometimes you get it for free.
But let me tell you about those costs, it bore for you and me.
everyday God grants us our bread,
To design and
make it was at an
unfathomable
cost,
For many have
died and, too
many were lost.
It is worth more
And we miss all those so very much, yes, all those who are
dead.
Our comrades that did not return, are finally at peace,
With the God almighty, whose grace does not cease.
There are more stars in the sky than all the grains of sand on
the beaches
But Gods hand and love is long and has ever eternal
reaches.
But our flag is getting old and is showing its age,
For it has been through many victories and battles of rage.
Some have said it should be burned and thrown far away.
But it has always kept our country safe with victories and
from harms way.
It provides us with life, a life we are not worthy to live,
But God has granted us salvation, and this he freely gives.
Those colors of red, white, and blue have set many men free,
And how those colors of the flag, are more colorful than the
trees.
We are that flag in spirit, for we do
very much care,
We help those in need, all those in
despair.
I praise God for all our freedoms as he has shown,
I felt God’s wind, the wind we all have sailed,
That wind, that wind, which has already blown.
For we have risked our lives to keep our children free,
And we shall continue to keep our children from the devil’s
tyranny.
Yes, that “Old Ragged Flag” today, still flies with dignity for
you,
But remember those colors of the red, the white and the blue.
We will stand with that flag in times of good and bad,
And all those evil people, well, they really make me mad.
We will stand with that flag to serve and protect,
At the end of the day, I will kneel and be still and solemnly
reflect.
That “Old Ragged Flag” of ours, it still flies high above our
heads,
On sunny bright days I stand to salute and remember all the
blood that was shed.
That flag is our foundation on which our country stands,
And it is the basis for our morals and values all over this
land.
.
That “Old Ragged Flag,”
Sometimes called Old Glory and was once endowed,
It is why we can speak freely and sing aloud,
We sing in harmony with each and every voice.
This is why we can worship the God of our choice.
.
That flag is why, we have the “Right to Bear Arms,”
To protect ourselves when there’s alarm.
God has instilled us with these inalienable rights,
We must carry all the way to the end, to the end, to the end,
to the end of this fight.
That flag is why we have courts and are judged by our peers,
For sure if not, I would be brought to my tears.
Our brothers, our sisters, and parents of old,
We have defended that flag now, over two centuries I am
told.
Yes, that Flag is just a piece of material, but we are not,
Our spirits will live, but our bodies will rot.
For we, our God’s greatest creation of all,
And we know God will never fail and will never fall.
And that flag was created with love and man’s freedom,
But we must stand guard against all evil with good reason.
And when those colors fade away our God will be there by
our side
And the Lord will say follow me; I will go praise God as I
abide.
And as I hear God say:
“Good job my son, you have served me well,
It is time to meet those who in youth, all those that have fell.
The number one rule of God is to love thy neighbor,
But some despise him and choose instead to cause labor.
It is finished, your work will soon set with the sun,
The moon is rising; all is done.
ONE MORE THING TO DO….
Now it is time to fold and stow that three color rag.
Yes, it’s beautiful, but it’s ours, that’s, “OUR OLD RAGGED
FLAG.”
